The Haarlem Large city scarf was developed and designed by the Dutch visual artist Mirjam Hagoort. Barentsz Urban Fabric combines a passion for the beauty of the city and graphic structures. For the City Shawl, she was inspired by the map of Haarlem. Mirjam discovered patterns in the map with an artistic character. The geographical contours of Haarlem and the graphic lines resulted in a high-quality design scarf made of 100% Modal, a fiber made from beech wood, which is very strong, super soft, and has a beautiful drape; also called artificial silk.
