Hendrik' Folding vase with bow

The Bow vase is a new model folding vase designed by Hendrik' designer Wanda van Riet. With the lace in the vase, you determine the size of the opening of the vase. The tighter you ty the lace, the smaller the opening of the vase. This way the folding vase is suitable for lots of flowers but also for a small bunch of tulips. After folding the vase and tying the lace, you can fill this vase of recycled plastic with water instantly.

Decorated with beach photos

The pattern on this 25 cm high folding vase is inspired by several old photos of the beach in the Netherlands. The photos are taken between 1890-1920 at Zandvoort, already in 1100 known as Sandevoerde, a composition of 'zand' and 'voorde'. In the 19th-century sea-bathing became popular in England and was introduced in Zandvoort by the local physician Dr Mezger. The railway line (from 1881) and the electric tram (1899) promoted the bath tourism significantly. The inside of the vase has a nicely contrasting and colourful stripes motif, which gives the vase an extra aesthetic effect.
