About Van Gogh
Van Gogh was born in the Netherlands and later moved to Paris and other places in France to live. He didn't have such a happy life and nobody liked his paintings. He has sold one painting in his entire life. He did not earn any money himself and always had to knock on the door of his parents or his brother Theo. He turns to alcohol and is admitted to a mental institution. In 1890, on the advice of his doctor, he decides to fully concentrate on painting and makes his last series of 12 landscapes. Vincent van Gogh died on July 29, 1890, leaving behind more than 850 paintings and nearly 1,300 works on paper.
