Femque van Geffen and Janneke Dröge started painting kitchenware and tableware in February 2001. The two blondes shared their passion for colorful crockery in a small workshop in Amsterdam. With the products of Blond Amsterdam Femque and Janneke try to bring a bit of happiness into people's lives. And they succeeded! Blond has become a household name and is found on the shelves of many large department stores.

Inspiration from the city

The ladies draw inspiration from their home city of Amsterdam, which they describe as a city full of energy that thrives due to its varied mix of people. This is especially true for the Amsterdam 'Pijp' district in which they currently have their workshop. For the Delfts Blond product line, Femque and Janneke drew inspiration from typical Dutchness. They wanted to make products that evoked Delftware while being affordable and modern at the same time. These playful souvenirs can be found in our collection!
