Amsterdam is a state of mind, not just a destination. It's what attracted us to this amazing city. We asked ourselves, "What is it about Amsterdam?" It's the people. This is why our experiences focus on the Who and not the What. Amsterdam is famous for many things. Bikes. Great art. Canals, etc. But it's the citizens who make the city. So in everything we do, we make Amsterdammers our centrepiece. Our joy is in helping you discover Who is Amsterdam.

The people behind the brand

15 years ago, Alexandra Gudowski, a Polish-German, moved to Amsterdam after a difficult coming out. "Coming here to the first city that legalised same-sex marriage, I felt like I could finally breathe again." Similarly, Singapore native Rachael Teo came out in 2013, had a whirlwind romance with a Dutchie and moved to Amsterdam. In 2017, Alexandra and Rachael met on tram 14, connected over their love for Amsterdam. And fell in love. Their experiences here with incredible locals inspired them to create Who is Amsterdam Tours.

Locals With a Global Perspective

Since 2018, they've been connecting travellers and locals together through story-centric experiences. Their intercultural roots and local integration allow them to share stories as locals with a global perspective. Their mission is to share local stories and their experiences in Amsterdam to foster connection between travellers and locals. It's their way of giving back to the city that gives them the space to truly be themselves.
